Wrapped was founded in 2005 by Rachel Mitten & Lynne Denton. neither of the whom had any  retail experience at that stage (does a Saturday job at Woolworths in the late 1970's count? Probably not!). They did, however, share a love of that "mooching around" sort of shopping in small independent gift shops, seeking out presents that were just a little bit different for the special people and occasions in their lives. Problem was, those places were few and far between and they found themselves travelling further and further afield in their quest.

Inspiration struck during a girly night in with a bottle of wine (well doesn't it always?), and a cunning plan to bring the unusual, the quirky, the beautiful and the downright gorgeous to their home town was hatched! Within a few short months, premises had been found and fitted out, a fantastic range of great gift ideas had been sourced and displayed on their sparkling new shelves...and the door finally opened on 187 square feet (we may be small but we're perfectly formed) of shopping heaven.

The passing years have proved that there will always be a place (even in the suburbs of the Knightsbridge of the North) for a little business like ours, where quality and value walk hand in hand with great customer service: our loyal customers return regularly to tell us so! We sincerely believe that we can bring you the same experience with this, our new "shop".
